He’s back! Today I have Hot Toys Commander Scorch and a pair of Imperial Commandos (mostly obtained) from Sideshow Collectibles. I have become a sucker for troopers as of late, it is a bit sucky that a lot of these have been limited lately. I prefer buying generic troopers in pairs, so had to do some hunting to get a second Commando. Scorch is a cool addition to the collection. I understand some people’s gripes about the armor not being accurate and / or a Hunter repaint. However I think it still looks very cool and different from others. Plus it gives the feel of cohesive fabrication of armor models. His paint work is as usual excellent. Accessories are minimal but the two weapons are excellent as well as the unique pack. The Imperial Commando is also another excellent trooper. Same comments on paint and design as before. Also the helmets are all great, paint making it look lit even when they are not. They have decent flexibility for their design and I was able to do a few different poses relatively easily. I’m really glad to get these on the shelf as one of the links between the Clones and Imperial Trooper designs. I look forward to more!
